Rosanna Martin - Ceramic VesselsRosanna Martin - Ceramics Ceramicist Rosanna Martin trained at the University of Wales Institute Cardiff, and is currently undertaking an MA at the Royal College of Art to further develop her practice. In 2010 Rosanna was selected for the Craft Council’s Hothouse maker development scheme. Rosanna makes individually hand-thrown porcelain vessels that turn elements of the making process into an integral part of the decorative quality of the piece. Visually striking and tactile contrasts are created in each piece through the contrast of luscious glazes on the inside of the vessel and matt outer surfaces textured by carving lines and marks directly into the clay. Inspiration for each piece comes from the physical interaction with material during the making process
